Front light on 4th gen Apple TV will not turn off after sleep

I have unplugged both power and hdmi cords to try and solve problem. I have also restarted the system as well as reset the system, but for some reason the light still remains on after up to sleep. The system is up to date and when I turn the tv on there is no activity and Apple TV starts back up with no problem once I hit the menu or play button. It is bothersome because it sits right in front of my bed and I see it when I try to sleep and I am one of those that needs it to be dark. Thanks for whatever help you can give me.
