Hello, my homepod mini doesn't sync particularly well with my 2017 MBP laptop (base model). Bit of a delay.
Curious as to it perhaps being due to wifi speed. The speed is typically somewhere from 30-70, which I thought would be fast enough.
What speed is necessary for perfect audio syncing?

Multimedia apps on the Apple TV are able to sync audio and video whether using the TV's speakers, or HomePods over AirPlay 2. Games on the other hand should only use the TV speakers otherwise sound effects would be out of sync with actions.

Would that be true for an Apple TV box as well? Youtube, even cable tv won't work well? That's really amazing. I was planning on using my HomePods with it.

The delay is a feature of AirPlay 2. Apple's media apps, iTunes, Music, TV, etc. should adjust to sync video playback with audio, but YouTube, VLC, and other third party software are unlikely to work so well. This lag also makes HomePod unsuitable for games or composing music.
