How do u login to your iCloud account and be able to attach documents

Use a web browser and sign in with Apple ID and password with account credentials at www.icloud.com , click on iCloud Drive again click on upward arrow to upload , the documents that is literally on the desktop screen can be uploaded ( for many documents use command and A keys to select ) .
