Quicktime screen recorder is not working well with Airpods Pro using Airpods Pro microphone

I'm using Macos 11.5.2 on my Macbook Pro 2020 and when I try to record screen using Quicktime with audio, I used Airpods Pro and before I recorded, I went to Options -> Microphones -> Airpods Pro, then click Record. The Airpods Pro gave the the weird loud sound and turn off

When I opened the recorded video, I didn't listen to any sound

Hello thienanh96,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that the audio quality is not as expected when you’re using your AirPods Pro to record audio during a screen recording on your Mac. We’d like to help.

Some things that we would suggest trying are:

Are the ear tips securely placed? Try to remove them and test by recording some audio. Does the issue continue with the ear tips off?

It might help to reset your AirPods. Here’s How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Is there anything possibly covering the microphone on your AirPods while you're recording?

Here’s how to Record audio in QuickTime Player on Mac. Try recording audio only.

After trying these suggestions, screen record with audio again and make sure that you select the correct options for microphones. Here’s How to record the screen on your Mac.

Take care.
