Keynote will not start nor open existing presentations on iMac Big Sur (11.5.1)

I try to start Keynote, the Icon bounces for quite a while and then stops.

A "Keynote process (not responding)" process is running but no effect.

I have tried restarting the OS and reinstalled Keynote.

I have also disabled iClod for Keynote which I read somewhere.

Do I have to revert to the M$ alternative...sigh!

Please confirm the exact Mac and Mac OS you have: go to: Apple menu > About this Mac

Your post states you have an iMac 2012 which is not compatible with Big Sur.

In the meantime, create a new user account and test Keynote as described here to see if your current user account is corrupted:

So, tested created a new user. That user can still not start Keynote.

(iMac (Retina 5K, 27 tum, late 2015))

In the "system message"-app I can see that "syncdefaultsd" get a crasch report:

Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_MEMORY_ERROR at 0x000000010ce0596c
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

I have occasional restarts 1/month, guessing I have a memory problem....but haven't had any other apps missbehavin
