Secondary display

I cannot get my secondary display to be detected by my MacBook Pro. It was working fine last night, this morning nothing.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Can't detect my 2nd display; is there any way to get it to detect it? Hi. I'm running a 2018 Mac mini, and I'm suddenly having an issue detecting my 2nd display. I've tried the "detect display" function to no avail. I'm running OSCatalina 10.15.7 (tried upgrading to Monterey but I apparently don't have the memory to do upgrade successfully). Any suggestions?

Hi,

If your MacBook Pro has Intel Processor, resetting NVRAM could solve the issue.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

This was helpful, thanks, but I think the root problem was the setting on my external display - its ok now.
