Ethernet not working on Macbook
I have a 2015 macbook and two ethernet adapters which allow me to connect to the internet via ethernet using the USB-c port. These worked perfectly until I upgraded to Catalina and have never worked since. I've found various mentions across the web about kext issues and known bugs, but can't find anything that actually lets me solve this issue. I've even found a link to an Apple support page which was supposed to have steps for solving the issue, but it's now blank (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205956)
The problem has been ongoing for six months or more. I can get by using wifi, but would very much like to get ethernet working as well. (Partly because Time Machine will not connect to any disk and successfully make a backup over wifi - but I digress). I'd rather not roll back to Mojave, and not sure if I even could now without a complete reinstall of everything.
Can anyone point me towards sane information that might have steps for how to go about restoring ethernet access?
