How to clear other storage?

Is there any way for me to clear my storage? Out of 64GB of storage I have available, “other” takes up 56GB and “system” takes up 7.5 GB. How do I clear it? I am unable to send a picture as Apple won’t let me take screen shots. I have already erased all content and settings a couple of times and I’m unable to restore my backup as I have 0.1GB of storage left. Also I have no photos or apps other than Apple on my phone, so I have nothing left to manually delete. I have already contacted Apple Support, so this is my last resort.

Large Other indicates storage corruption, which can be caused by an interrupted sync. Normally Other is everything that is not in one of the colored areas. If Other is very large there is something amiss in the storage area on your phone.

The best thing to do is to contact Apple support using this link—>https://getsupport.apple.com/. Apparently they can fix Other problems remotely. Ask for a senior advisor; not all of the tier 1 advisors are familiar with this problem.

You can try fixing it yourself:

Here is additional information on Other—>What is "Other" and what can I do about it?

Keep your iPhone updated to the latest iOS. As of now, it is iOS 14.7.1 for iPhone 6S and above.

  • Other: Non-removable mobile assets, like Siri voices, fonts, dictionaries, non-removable logs and caches, Spotlight index, and system data, such as Keychain and CloudKit Database. Cached files can't be deleted by the system.
  • System: Space taken by the operating system. This can vary based on your device and model.

About cached files in "Other"

Finder and iTunes categorize cached music, videos, and photos as Other instead of actual songs, videos, or photos. Cached files are created when you stream or view content like music, videos, and photos. When you stream music or video, that content is stored as cached files on your device so you can quickly access it again.

Your device automatically removes cached files and temporary files when your device needs more space.

If storage on your device differs from what you see in Finder or iTunes

Since Finder and iTunes categorize cached files as Other, reported usage for Music or Videos might differ. To view usage on your device, go to Settings > General > [Device] Storage.

If you want to delete the cached files from your device

Your device automatically deletes cached files and temporary files when it needs more space. You don't need to delete them yourself.

In short --> IGNORE, if you are not convinced, Restart the device. You will see that Others Storage will reduce but total storage will remain more or less the same.

My iPhone X a year ago and now this iPhone 11 that I’ve had for a year had/has storage problems no matter how much I remove. That’s what forced me to upgrade my 2 year old iPhone X last year because of my storage issues. Everything I’m doing to remove things still isn’t giving me more space, and my apps won’t update for the last few days too. I don’t get it. I take care of my phone, delete and remove things, and the Other section and storage still continues to play games with me. Apps close on me and won’t open off and on and it’s ridiculous. I’ve restarted my phone a lot and still nothing. It’s like anything I deleted and remove goes in the Other section and it increases that instead of reducing the storage. I need help, it’s getting to be impossible to use my phone more.
