iPad Pro 2021 - internal microphones - processed, compressed audio?

Hi, I am trying to determine if the internal microphones on the 2021 iPad pro are suitable for recording musical performances (live instruments, vocals). Is it possible to record from the internal microphones without processing and compression - which is how music should be recorded? Or, do these microphones always apply noise reduction, compression, etc., to make them suitable for recording conversations and narration, or engaging in an audio or video teleconference?

I am trying to determine if it will be necessary for me to use an external mic that records audio plainly, without automatically applying processing, which would render the "five studio-quality microphones" useless for music recording.

Thanks for your help.
