Hi, I'm having issues with my screen, blurry lines come and go at speed, usually horizontal but occasionally vertical. Have tried to adjust settings and upgraded software but no joy, lines still present. As yet they haven’t effected the running of my mac just very annoying and when the go horizontal they form a block you cannot see through.

Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider
Try resetting NVRAM. If that doesn't resolve, service would be required.
Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R. Release the keys after about 20 seconds. This clears user settings from memory and restores certain security features that might have been altered.

You can also check in recovery mode. If the lines are appearing in recovery mode, it's likely a hardware issue. If it doesn't appear reinstall macOS.
