Using Windows on MacBook Pro M1 CHIP

Hope this email finds you well. I wanted to know how I can run windows apps on my new MacBook Pro M1 chip?

Boot Camp Assistant cannot be used on Macs with the M1 chip. This is primarily because the M1 chip uses the ARM architecture, and Microsoft hasn't made the ARM version of Windows available to the public. (You can, however, get it as a Windows 10 Insider, but Boot Camp Assistant still won't work.)


To run Windows on your M1 Mac, you'll need a supported virtualization solution, such as Parallels Desktop.


If you only need to run Windows apps (and not Windows itself), take a look into CrossOver.
