How can I check balance on iTunes gift card?

There is no balance on a physical gift card. It's either the entirety of the amount shown on it, or zero if it's already been redeemed.

Once redeemed onto your account, the entirety of the value of the card is moved onto it. You can check your account's balance by following the steps here: link-> Check your Apple ID balance - Apple Support
