How can you identify which key to press to represent a letter during an automated phone call?

iPhone keypad I am unable to answer telephone calls from apple support. keypad does not work if asked to input a number. The input is not recognized by the apple caller/computer, so apple support call back is canceled. In fact the keypad does not appear to be functioning at all once I answer the call (and can only answer from the call "notice" displayed at the top of the phone screen.

Have you considered actually looking at the keypad...?
