Team, any idea how to get rid of black line in my macbook pro screen? It's sort of thread.

You can test by connecting an external Monitor—which will bypass the Internal display. This would be telling.


Alternatively a screenshot comes directly from the GPU— therefore if no line— it is islolated to your display or display cable (projector cable.)


The basics—

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)


Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
