HP in their system specifications state "Mac OS X v10.12 (Sierra), v10.11 (El Capitan), v10.10 (Yosemite); 1 GB hard drive; Internet access" This simply means that it looks like HP does not support the device after 10.12.x.

I'm not sure if you are aware that the drivers are developed by the printer manufacuters (HP, Canon, Brother Epson, etc...) and NOT Apple.

If you use HP software then you may want follow the directions below and see if it will work:

Please do the following in this order:

If you still cannot get your HP to run in HS, then that is HP's way of telling you to buy a new printer and then you can decide what new printer will suit your needs.

Hi,

Yes, to begin with, try to reset the printing system and re-add the printer, as suggested by rkaufmann87.

A number of HP Envy Photo 71xx All-in-One Printer models are listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support. Have you checked whether your printer has one of these exact model numbers? If so, the printer would be a model supporting the driverless AirPrint technology, and thus compatible with macOS High Sierra 10.13. This means that it could be used without additional drivers, providing that it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network (router) as the computer.

If it is an AirPrint model, and it still does not work, you may want to try the following procedure: Power off the router, the printer, the computer, and all other devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the computer. Finally, power on all other devices.

Otherwise, the HP support downloads page (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-photo-7100-all-in-one-printer-series/9073119) for the HP ENVY Photo 7100 All-in-One Printer series and macOS High Sierra 10.13 has references to HP Easy Start and HP Smart. If there is a problem with these, and you need drivers (for example, for a USB connection), you could perhaps try HP Easy Admin instead (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06164609).
