I have tried this with my Verizon iPhone 7 but the support says I need a new phone.

Who has no service response after the latest iOS 14.7.1 update? This is on an iPhone 7.

This sure seems like ransomware to me - we send you garbage software and then demand you pay us to fix it. Yes, me too.
