guided access

i cannot get my ipad out of guided access because i forgot the password. forced restart does not help, and i do not have a time limit set.

Are you using iPadOS 13.4 or later?

Yes. If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support
No. You must erase your iPad and set it up as new. This would also work if the above fails. How to erase your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
