I'm getting a "plugin" pop up when I try to print

All of a sudden I can't print anything. I keep getting the following popups: PDE.plugin, commontohp.filter, HPDM.framework, all followed by will damage your computer.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer but I still get the same messages

I'm getting warning pop-ups that various apps [HP Utility"] can damage my computer. I can't get my printer to print. A queue is showing 8 items waiting to print. I tried dragging the offending items to the trash, but the printer will still not print.

I get this message when attempting to print to my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer: "PDE.plugin will damage your computer." How to fix this?

Please give complete specs on your computer; model, year, OS version, RAM and etc.
