I bought a series 3 Apple Watch from someone on Facebook and it’s activation locked the person I got it from said they bought it used and didn’t reset it until they went to sell it so my question is is there a way to find the original owner so they can remove it so I can use it or am I out $100.00 and recycle it or something

Yeah she won’t even talk to me she blocked me on messenger but if she bought it used to she can’t fix the watch but she won’t give my money back either it’s a shame to just throw away a device Apple should do something with it how would I recycle it
The person that you bought this watch from needs to follow all the steps in this link;
Prepare the watch so the buyer can use it.
If they can't or won't then get your money back or recycle the watch and put it down to experience.
The device is useless to you. Recycle it, or try to get your money back.
Take it to an Apple store,they will recycle it.
