Dismiss Airdrop Notifications

How do I dismiss Airdrop notifications from my desktop?

When Airdropping photos from my iPhone to my Macbook, the notification pops up over my desktop and only gives me the option to open them, but no way to dismiss the annoying notification. I've tried swiping them away, and double clicking, but they persist for like 20 seconds before finally going away.

How do I stop these from appearing, or just dismiss them? It's super annoying.

I'm on Mojave 10.14.6, if that matters.
