Keyboard on iphones

What is the keyboard display supposed to look like on phone? I ask because sometimes there is a keyboard like now as I type this that is All letters of alphabet but you have to switch screens to use Any punctuation.? And sometimes there’s a keyboard that has all letters, and a period, a comma, and an ‘@‘ displayed near the space bar, all displayed conveniently on the same keyboard screen, so one does not have to keep switching to a different screen for ALL punctuation. Has anyone else had this problem on the keyboard they use on their phone as well? Seems a tad Phishy to me.

Hey Feefifo,

Thanks for posting your question in Apple Support Communities.

This is the normal function of your keyboard. Yes, you do have to go to a different screen on the keyboard for punctuation and symbols. The keyboard detects what information you are being asked to put in and will change accordingly. For example, if the keyboard notices that you are being asked to enter your email address, it will change and show the @ symbol in order for you to easily access it.

If you would like to adjust the settings on your keyboard, follow the link to this article: Adjust the onscreen and external keyboard settings on iPhone.

Best Wishes.
