AirPlay Icon won’t go away

Why is the blue airplay icon still appearing on my iphone even after i stop mirroring? This icon shows up even after I’ve disconnected from the device that was being used for screen mirroring.

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Nothing happens when I tap on it. I restarted the phone and that seemed to fix the issue.
