Am i being hacked? Null is using camera access.

Earlier, i was using safari and I got this pop up saying “(null) is using camera access to control connected cameras. This includes taking photos, videos, accessing files and recording audio.” I closed the camera access on all apps but i still don’t know why this popped up, i don’t know if null referred to an application or a person trying to hack me. I’m really strict about my privacy so please give me further details if you know what this is.

Hi The_beatles,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with an error message on your iPhone. We'd like to help.

Where you're seeing "(null)" on that message, usually shows a specific app on your device. You can head to Settings > Privacy > Camera to see the apps that have access to your camera. While you may not see any that are named "null," you can try to enable the apps one by one to see if you get that message again. You can read more about this here:

Control access to hardware features on iPhone

If you still can't identify this issue, and it continues to appear, Contact Apple Support would be a good next step for continued assistance.

Hope that helps!

Take care.
