Microsoft Word should work for MathType equations but I would recommend you use a trial version before you commit to it.
No, WIRIS does not have a 64 bit version, and does not intend to do so

If anyone is using macOS Catalina or Big Sur, please let me know you MathType solution.
All of Apple's current apps support LaTex and MathML equations. See Add mathematical equations to your document in Pages, Numbers, and Keynote - Apple Support
Thanks this is helpful. Will Pages Export to MS Word?

Yes. However, I'm going to have to retract my recommendation for Pages. I tried it with one equation and it worked fine, but then I tried exporting to Word and I didn't even make it that far. Pages failed miserably on the examples from Apple's own Equations support document. It works great on the iPad, but the Mac version doesn't work.
Ironically enough, a Pages document with equations that don't work will export to Microsoft Word and the equations look perfect in Word. It looks like Word has upgraded its equations since the last time I used them last...century. It is a little clunky to get LaTeX into Word, but it works and displays much better than in Pages. If you need to work in Word, I suggest you just stay in Word and use its native equations support.
