iPad as a PRIMARY display for a mac mini

I want to use an iPad as the primary display with a mac mini. Not sidecar, not secondary: primary display.

is that possible?

No. It is not possible to use an iPad as the primary display for a Mac mini.

That is not a supported setup option for either device.

I was afraid that’s s the case. Doesn’t seem like it would be too tough to bipass the iPad’s brain and go straight to display….
