I am at IOS 14.7..1 About a week ago messages from my inbox started disappearing. They only stay for a short time (a minute or so). It doesn't matter if they are read or not. I tried deleting the account and adding it back (I use Comcast). I also did a reset. Email still vanish and cannot be located ... they are not in trash or deleted messages. What is happening? Does Apple admit it has a problem? Is it time to ditch the iPhone?

And that is the reason why you don’t have them in Mail app. Most likely on your Mac or other device the same account is set using POP protocol, not IMAP, and emails are removed from the server as soon that device downloads the messages, in result Mail app syncs up with the server and as no emails any longer are available on the server, Inbox on Mail app is blank too.

We see you're having some issues with your emails disappearing, and we'd be happy to help out there.
Do you have multiple email accounts? If so, does this happen with them as well?
Also, try signing into the webmail version of your email, and see if the noted emails are present there.
You can also check to see if you have any filters active in the Mail app with the help of this page: Flag and filter emails on iPhone
Try also using the search feature in the Mail app to search for keywords in an email that seems to be missing, just to see if it populates in this manner: Search for and view email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Ask you email account support. They have access to email server logs.
There are two mail accounts. The other account is accessed from a mac book, iPad, and a samsung phone. The problem does not occur with that account. I went to the website and the mail on that account is in the inbox.
My mail account has the messages vanishing from the iPhone inbox.
