When will AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT be supported?

It's support is reported by Apple to be added in Monterey 12.1:

You can use RX 6600 XT on macOS because it says that the 6600xt is based on the RDNA 2 architecture, and you can now use cards based on that architecture.

No, you cannot. Please state things that you know or have tested. This is just pure speculation. I have an RX6700XT, that is based on the same architecture and it DOES NOT work on Catalina, nor in Big Sur (any build). Only 6800 and 6900 are currently supported.

hello, I got the newest RX 6600xt and is not working on macOS Big Sur 11.6 yet.

The only way I can use this gpu is running windows on an external drive (tb3) and with tb3 egpu.

I hope to send a upgrade with the newest AMD Card Support for macOS Big Sur. (6700xt/6600xt/6600 & w6800/w6600)

As I am a fellow user, I have no access to internal Apple business and technology decisions. If they chose to skip the 6600 XT driver support, then that is their decision to make, regardless of any other rationale.

Actually the RX 6600XT is also based on the AMD Navi RDNA2 architecture...so i don't understand why isn't supported, or why apple wrote that statement. Could just write 6800, 6800xt and 6900 xt are now supported.

This is not automatic. Is a reasoning based on analogies and is not appliable in this sector. Only when will officially be supported (as already said above) then it's... officially and practically supported.

Who told you it would be... ever?

The card was newly released in August 2021, and it's only been a month, I am hoping they will release drivers for this.

They need to update their website then, pretty sad that they haven't yet

it stated for 6600XT but not Radeon™ RX 6600 EAGLE 8G. I hope it can be used as well.
