iPod Touch 6th gen

Am I the only person who is very angry at spending nearly $400 on an iPod Touch 6th gen that I've only gotten three years of use out of? I bought it in mid-2018 and already I can't update beyond iOS 12 - but all the essential travel apps in these Covid times, e.g. Travel Pass used by over 50 IATA airlines, only works on iOS 13 and above. Once upon a time one got at least 5–6 years out of an iPod Touch before one needed to upgrade it; now, one gets only three years before you have to send it to landfill. SHAME ON YOU, APPLE. Sorry, this isn't a question but a comment, but I didn't know how else to express my disgust to Apple.
