Macbook dead slow after Big Sur update 11.5.2 (20G95)

Macbook is dead slow after the latest update. Attached is the report from EtreCheck

Start with this...


Delete these files & restart...


~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.epicgames.launcher.plist


~/Library/LaunchAgents/org.virtualbox.vboxwebsrv.plist


~ tilde indicates  your home folder

Apple hid the Users' Library folders...


Method 1:

  1. From the Finder, select the Go menu at top of the screen, and choose Go to Folder.
  2. In the window that opens, enter ~/Library, and click Go.


Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup). Could take 10 minutes.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
