About customizing Start Page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211788

There is a + button next to search bar. Click it to open a new tab.

Can you please explain a bit about what you mean by customizing a tab?

I was finally able to "PIN" some tabs on my SAFARI opener page. ...DUH, I feel so silly, but have had the MAC for a year now and never figured out how people do this neat trick/short-cut.
