Should the battery health drop below 80% or so, either the battery then gets replaced, or the iPhone is replaced for a newer one if it’s gotten old enough…

Battery Health is an inexact measurement which varies with usage. You have not said where yours is, but you need not worry until it reaches 80%, at which time you will need to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store for a Battery Replacement.
It's likely not an issue. How old is the phone? And what is your current health? Most users see a 1-2 percent reduction per month.
