USBC Mic and Facetime

Please somebody tell me there is a way to get a USBC Mic (in my case the Rode NT Mini) to work with Facetime (or Skype or Zoom). Apple support couldn’t figure out how to get it to work and for the life of me, I cannot either. Facetime just defaults to the built in mic and speaker of the iPad. Is there anyway on a USBC iPad like the iPad Pro? iOS 15 maybe?

I believe with iPads, using ANY video conferencing/video chat app, ONLY the internal mics can be used.

No way to use ANY external USB-C microphones with iPad using video chat apps.

On my older 2016 iPad Pro model, I am able to use the 3.5mm audio jack and plug in a set of older wired Apole iPhone earpods and use the built-in microphone in the earpods OR lately, use a set of Bluetooth headphones/earpods with built-in microphone/s.

Sorry.
