My alarm shows the lights. But no sound. I have done all I can. But also noticed when I pick it up it reduces the alarm sound?

I just want my alarm to go off with the side switch on DND and not have it only show the light. I have done everything I should? All the notices and alarms do not work consistently since iOS 14 and all the latest upgrades!

If you turn off the side switch you will not usually get any sound at all, only vibration if you set it up for vibration on silent.

If the volume reduces when you pick it up then it is finding your Face ID. if you want to keep volume high go to Settings, Accessibility, Face ID & Attention, turn off Attention Aware Features
