The wind direction is wrong in the weather app
The wind direction is telling me where the wind is coming from not the direction it’s blowing. Not a huge issue, and maybe it’s just my area, but i hate it
iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

Actually, I completely understand the (lack of any) issue. My Bachelor degree is in meteorology and I’ve done graduate studies in geophysics.
Weather.com, as well as Apple’s Weather app and all other media report the direction the wind is coming from, not blowing towards.

There’s a lot to do there.
Good luck!
A lot to do except finding answers to questions apparently
What is the meteorological phenomenon that would cause the apple app to report one wind direction while another app reports it opposite?
I’ve never seen that happen, and sberman posted 2 images of Apple’s app and the weather channel where they are the same.
Yeah. I saw, and i’m really happy the app is functioning as expected in places i don’t live, but right now i have three different sources reporting three different wind directions in my town
No. Please expound in this concept, of what was it? Wind changing direction? Are you telling me the wind changed 120 degrees in the time it took to refresh a website. Please explain how that happens
The OP claims that may be true everywhere in the world except where they live.
Read the thread please
Of course, the Apple app and The Weather Channel will always be the same, because the data source for the Apple app is the Weather Channel.
