Stop verifying Adobe

First, let me sign in to your site without putting a code in from my phone every time. Isn't that what "Trust browser" is for? I use Chrome.

Thats just a side note though, anyway a question aimed towards my fellow Apple users. Is there a way to stop Apple Verifying apps? I don't find it that fun waiting 1 minute every time I open an Adobe app. Adobe seems to update something at least once a week so gets annoying fast.

I think it's Gatekeeper right? I'd like to throw whatever service it is in the fire, please :)

Whenever the App is replaced, it must be verified. When you get updates these days, they aren't "updates" but completely new apps. The "update" replaces the old app, so the verification is invalid.
The other option is allowing any software to "replace" the real ones with malicious software.

Yeah, I do understand it's technically a new bit of software each time, and gatekeeper will want to check it out.

But until gatekeep does its job in a matter of seconds, I'd rather just remove it. It makes no sense for me to use it personally. Im a pro user, so know what I'm downloading/installing. I don't really use any program other than Adobe and Chrome. And worst-case scenario, I break my computer (which has never happened to me in 25 years of extensive 'Windows' usage) and I just reinstall the iMac. Everything is in the cloud anyway.

In an ideal world, there would be some sort of 'trust' between Apple and Adobe, where verification isn't needed. But whatever. Until that day, I'm hoping for a way to remove gatekeeper. I thought it would be quite common amongst Mac users.

Are you working with limited hardware? I earn my living with Adobe Creative Cloud software and it seems to me the verification process is very short, certainly under 20 seconds - although I haven't checked before now.

I just tested it by updating Adobe Prelude, and the verification time was 7.5 seconds from clicking open (verification progress bar appears) to the beginning of actually launching the app (verification progress bar disappears).

My workstation is:

No, my hardware is decent enough to handle this. It's 32gb ram. 4.2ghz Quad i7

Sometimes it can take 10 seconds. I have also had to wait about 3 minutes though - personally, I'm just looking forward to the iMac Pro with m1 so that I can upgrade and hope that all my niggles with MacOS get resolved.

Are you launching an installed or copied application from /Applications? Or from some disk image (that would explain the repeated verification)??

Good shout. But just checked and its installed correctly in Applications. Its not so much that it does it every time. Its only when Adobe updates. But that is a good once a week, and I need the software probably twice a week and normally it's for quick, spontaneous tasks that I'd like to complete quick - so frustrates me every time.

Then just turn off Adobe automatic updates and then run up dates as needed or convenient.

BTW, "I'll take my chances that Adobe isn't going to send me Malware" is not what you need to worry about it is other means of malware getting on your system hat Gatekeeper prevents.

Just so you know what I am contending with: https://share.getcloudapp.com/L1urNw96

It took so long, the video ran out of time. And here we are 3-4 minutes later, and I still have about 10% of the load bar left.

My GF messages me saying, "can you make this video 1080p height".

I think, "ill stop what im doing and knock that out in 40 seconds of work".

I click and then wait 5 minutes for the app to open. Still waiting even now.

I know you don't work for apple, im just making you aware that I'm not being hyperbolic
