Keyboard clicks sounding inconsistently

I have tried every fix from settings but still the sounds while type are less and almost inaudible in a room with just fan noise. Sometimes the sound increases and i can easily hear it but again decreases after typing a few more words.

My iPad pro 11’ 2018 is running on iPadOS 14.7.1 which is the latest as of posting this.

please help.

i tried installing google keyboard as well but there is no option to increase keyboard sound in it in iPadOS whereas it does give you that option in Android.

Good afternoon Manas56,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you are having an issue with the volume of the keyboard clicks on your iPad Pro, and we'd like to help.

How long has this been going on?

Here are some steps you can try to address this:

If you have a case on your iPad Pro, try removing it to determine if that makes any difference.

Toggle the Keyboard Click switch to off, restart the iPad, and enable it again.

Settings > Sounds > Keyboard Clicks

Check to see if the original keyboard is selected, and if not, try switching to a different keyboard to test.

Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards

Adjust the onscreen and external keyboard settings on iPad

Take care.
