Left AirPod does not have any sound

Why doesn’t my left ear pod have any sound or show up at all as being charged after the reset process?

Hello, Steven.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you’re not longer able to hear or charge your left AirPod after a reset, and we want to see if we can offer some assistance.

Have you had a chance to try the steps outlined in this article?

If your left or right AirPod isn't working - Apple Support

The key steps here are cleaning your AirPods and charging case with the Apple guidelines and attempting another reset.

It’s also a good idea to ensure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version. The firmware on your AirPods will update as you use them when they’re connected to your iPhone.

Warmest Regards.

Contacted Apple support, and we went through a series of trouble shooting questions. Long story short I had the Choise of either taking my defective AirPod and charging case into an Apple service store or mailing the AirPods and charging case into apple. I was over whelmed with the great service until I received an email from them with a service cost of $220.00 for my two year old AirPods. I obviously cancelled my request, and will continue to use my right ear AirPod.
