What if your bank account has a dash

My bank account has a dash and the keyboard will not let me enter a dash when I am filling out my account info for Apple Cash to pay my Apple Card payment. Any suggestions?

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Hi, you do not need to enter dashes. Please just enter the numbers that identify your account.

Just to follow up, I spoke with a credit union representative and she verified that the dash can be omitted. I don’t know why they told me to include the dash in the first place. Why bother messing with it at all? At least now I know for sure.
