Pending app updates are not shown on the iPad app store

On my iPad if I go to the app store there are never shown any pending app updates (the section is just not existing in my account there), also with automatic updates turned on, no updates are happening.

If I manually search for an application in the app store that is installed, on the app page it correctly shows me that there is an update available and I can successfully update from there.

Anybody any ideas on what to do? Thanks!

Device: iPad

iPadOS: 14.7.1 (so latest while writing this)

Troubleshooting steps already done:

    • turned on/off automatic updates several times
    • closed and restarted app store and settings several times
    • restarted iPad
    • verified that there are updates pending
    • compared with other iOS devices I have (there is is working)
    • setting device date to a future date and then back to actual one

Let’s ensure that you are checking for app updates, in the App Store, correctly:

Open App Store App ➔ Click on your icon (Picture) at the top right ➔ An ACCOUNT window will pop up : TOUCH the Middle of this Window and DRAG Down to refresh it. You should now see any apps that need updates and you can update them manually by choosing UPDATE ALL.
