Logitech MX Master 3 / keys lagging.

Hi everyone!

I am posting this thread to save others the same mistakes and frustration as me. Mac with M1 processor has problems with the bluetooth connection and this is not something that has been fixed with recent updates. For those of you who use bluetooth and most likely experience a slight delay or lagging - the fault is not with Logitech but with Apple. All Macs with M1 chip does have some sort off issue with bluetooth lagg.

I therefore recommend you not to buy MX Master 3 for Mac. This does not come with USB (Unifying receiver) and will therefore not work optimally with your Mac with M1 processor. Instead, buy MX Master 3 (for all computers) as it comes with USB (Unifying receiver) and has all the same features as MX Master 3 for Mac. This solved all issues for me. Now I can experience the great performance of the MX master 3 and MX Keys.

Hope this saves som time for some of you guys out there.

Have a nice day!

I had this same problem - what I had to do to fix it (after calling logitech support) is during the bluetooth pairing process they advised me to do the following:

Type out the confirmation code on the keyboard and then click "return/enter" on the keyboard. Then click connect with your cursor.

This fixed my connectivity issues and my function keys no longer were delayed.

Hopefully this helps.

I don’t think it’s a fair assumption to think it’s Apple’s M1 chip. I have this delay with the new MX Keyboard Mini on my Dell laptop and it does not come with a USB receiver. I had to connect it with Bluetooth, so I think the delay is with that, not Logitech, Dell, or Apple.

Sometimes it’s more noticeable than other times, but I can definitely see it. I don’t see it as a deal breaker and I haven’t tried it with the wire they have given me and if that would effect the delay.
