Podcast Playback Position not syncing between Mac-iPad-iPhone

The playback position of my podcasts is not syncing between my devices (Mac, iPhone, and iPad). I could listen to a podcast for 15 minutes on my Mac and then switch to my iPhone expecting to pick right back up only to find it wants to start playing at the beginning of the podcast. Podcasts are syncing between devices, but not the playback position. Is there something I am missing? I am using 11.5.2 on the Mac, iOS is 14.7.1 and iPadOS is 14.7.1.

Any help is appreciated as it is extremely difficult to try to find your place while using CarPlay form my iPhone.
