Why are my Apple purchases being charged to my wife's card?

Why are my Apple purchases being charged to my wife's card? She is not on my account and her card is nowhere in my account or wallet. But my purchases show they have been charged to her card.

i haven't been seeing any billing info on what my kid charged using my card on a third party app. Isn't it absurd that apple would not send you the receipt when your card is being used? Is anyone else facing this issue, where a family member has bought something using your card via family sharing and you don't get to see a receipt?

I put my wife’s debit chime card on to my account today and Immediately took $9 of her card and we don’t know why. I never purchased anything for it to do that? Please and thank you I did everything I could think of and went through deleting anything that could charge the account and undescribed active description and now out of options. Pls help

If you are in a Family Sharing group, the billing goes to the Organizer. Does that apply in your case?
