I’m trying on my old Apple TV, 2nd gen. Nothing is working

When signing in it is worth noting that older models do not officially support 2FA so it requires a workaround. You would need to enter the password, manually request the code and then add it to the password.


Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support


FYI: When you want to respond you just need to click on the reply button from the previous response.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to start a new thread. Apparently when you hit reply it wants to start a new thread, idk this is my first time doing it.


I was trying to reply to another thread about signing into iCloud on an old TV, I have a 4th gen already, but I was trying to use my old 3rd gen again. All the methods given were not working, hence the reply, “is this still working in 2021?”.
