I have had an XR that has been bricked for a year, and my SE that I replaced it with is just terrible with battery life. I need to get it restored and working again, but I keep getting error code 1100 when trying to restore it.

Ok, just wanted to be sure. Per chance, you didn't jailbreak this phone? Not judging, just asking. If not, then your next step would be to contact Apple Support directly to try to get this resolved. Are you sure 1100 was the error code? I ask as the support article you came here from pretty much covers all possible error codes your iPhone can generate ... and 1100 is not on that list. Do you get any other error messages?
Absolutely sure. I was baffled by the fact that it wasn’t listed as well. I double and triple checked the support article. I can’t figure it out. I’ve spent hours on this and it just simply seems bricked. Google search for 1100 and I can’t find anything useful there either…
I definitely did not jailbreak the phone. It was only about a year old and I just hung up from a phone call with my dad and it locked up so I held the power button down to restart it and when I tried to open it back up it never came to life again. So the next day I ordered an iPhone SE because the phone is actually a company phone and I need to turn it back in now. But I needed the phone to use and the company wouldn’t buy me another one and I couldn’t take it to the Apple store to get repaired because of Covid and they were all closed. I opened a ticket but it went expired because I couldn’t go anywhere to get it fixed. I figured it was the price of a pandemic. However I don’t want to turn in my phone that I paid for to get the new company phone and I’m trying to get that one fixed to turn it back in to my employer.
