How to change my Apple ID email?

Hello, I got an iPhone before my mom did and when my mom got an iPhone, I stupidly decided to use my email. So both her and I have the same email for our Apple IDs. How can this be changed without losing anything? My mom now has her own email address so I would like her iPhone to be associated with that. When she downloads apps they appear on my phone. And certain apps I have that she tries to download won’t work for her. I feel so stupid that I did this back then! But can’t do much now. Hope someone can help! Thanks so much.

Create a new Apple ID for her using her email address.

Family Sharing.

Family Sharing - Set up.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. Also set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.
