I am experiencing a repetitive problem. When I select an album/studio version of a song, Apple Music plays a random live version of the song. Example: I selected Sublime’s Garden Grove from the self titled album. It played a live acoustic version?! This happens all too often. I’m getting tired of it. Apple, known issue? Please fix. You have a software indexing problem.
We're not Apple techs, just fellow users. If you believe that your albums contain live versions, try getsupport.apple.com. I am unable to recreate your experience nor am I able to find live recordings of those tracks in Apple Music.
So I’ll FaceTime you (Apple tech) and prove it to you. I’m not crazy. It’s definitely happening. I’m busy this weekend but I’m happy to set a time during the weekday to PROVE to you this is happening.

There are two Tenacious D albums, one release in August 2001, the other in September 2001. You can see this in Apple Music on a Mac under Other Versions. Might that be the issue?

Ok, you have to help me out. What makes it live? Nothing I hear indicates anything different from the version available with the music video on YouTube.
Crowd noise for one. I assure you I’m not imagining this. I have friends that hear it too.
Definitely no crowd noise on those two tracks.

For what it's worth, I was unable to reproduce the issue you're experiencing. Garden Grove plays as expected on the album track. Are you sure it's in Apple Music on the correct album?
I’m sure. It’s random and more on the rare side. But, I still experience it. Yesterday I selected the “Wonder Boy”album track from their 2001 album: Tenacious D. It played a live version. Try that. Just retested and it happened to me again now!
Is this a known issue?
