Macbook lid has a rusty red ring near the Apple logo. What is it?

I have a black Macbook from 2006. When the Macbook lid is closed, there is a rusty red ring near the white Apple logo. It looks sort of like the outline of one of the screws on the exterior of the Macbook. It's about the same size as a screw, and has something at the centre like a screw.

I looked at photos of used black Macbooks from 2006. None of them seem to have this rusty red ring.

Does anybody know what it is? Thank you in advance.

"I live in a country where it tends to be cold. Though I did store the MacBook in the original box in the basement. Maybe in the summer, it was very humid. I wondered if something in the screen was leaking out to the lid, that made a rusty red ring that looks like the imprint of a screw. Maybe there was a rusty screw inside the screen which showed through to the other side on a black polycarbonate lid."

Based on Personal Experience:

There is nothing of a screw in there. The shape is probably residue, resulting from condensation. I use a dehumidifier in my basement (where I work out of the house) to avoid issues like this. Humid air is much heavier, and as a result is often found in the bottom levels of the building. I purchased the dehumidifier years ago after my stereo set wend dead. I've had not troubles sense.
