Iphone xs max bent screen

So after charging my iPhone xs max overnight I woke up to my phone slightly bent with the screen coming off of the frame. Neither the back glass nor screen is cracked anywhere. The phone was very warm to the touch and the battery appeared to be inflated. This is the only thing I can think of and there is no way that this could be user damage because I'm sure that the force required to bend my phone like it is would surely crack the screen and the back glass.

Only an Apple technician can evaluate your iPhone properly to determine the potential cause. Based on what you provided, it does appear to be a swollen battery. I suggest that you immediately stop using this iPhone and be sure that it is powered off and not connected to a charger. Then make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options.
