My problem is on the notifications part of the iPhones it shows messages. You have the option to have it show never, always or only unlocked with a preview. For me i have it unlocked so no one can read my messages. But on the lock-screen it doesn’t even show the contact on the message icon. How do you fix this? Cause this is really annoying to have this issue.

Sounds like this is isolated to this one contact. Have you tried to remove the contact from your device and add them back in? Does that help? Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

My problem is thats from one person in a stack. It isnt showing the contact name from any messages doesnt matter if it is a stack or a group. I have restarted my iPhone more times that i can count, i have also reset it as well. I have also turned of iMessages and turned it back on. I think it might be a software issue with the iOS 14.7.1

From what you've shared, it looks like your Settings should allow for the name of the sender to be visible. It looks like you're looking in the Notification Center and that's where you're not seeing the names. Is that stack of messages from one person or more than one person? If it's more that one person, do other names appear below that first notification? Does the name appear when the notification and banner first appear on your device?
Have you closed the Messages app and restarted your iPhone? Sometimes that can help. Give that a try.
