How do I transfer tickets to someone?
[Re-Titled by Moderator]
I still am only getting the choice to Remove Pass. I would like the choice to Share Pass.
I am having a medical issue and am not able to attend the Opening Ceremony of The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama on July 7. I would like to transfer them to a friend. How do I do that? I do NOT want the tickets to go unused.
Thanks, ReadytotravelNow
Brilliant response - thank you . They are all to family members so security should not be a problem. Thanks again.
I had transferred a ticket from Ticketmaster app thought it was all taken care of later my friend told me she never got her ticket?.? I have two other tickets that say I can add to Apple wallet but I don’t want to because I don’t know where the other one went. What happened to that ticket how can I get it back to my phone is there an Apple wallet I can reach to get two or something?
This reply worked for me, I didn't have the option to share because it was for a sporting event. I was able to log into my account with the ticket issuer though and easily transfer the tickets for free to a phone number or email.
Thanks, this reply helped me to solve my issue.
An answer given suggests there is a share option after you click on the three dot top right when you have the item in your wallet on screen. - There is NO share pass option now shown. The only answer I have received which bears hope is to take a screen shot and then send it by email. I ghave my doubts this will work for the football season ticket I wish to share. It remains to be seen.
So for example, in my case, if I wanted to transfer say Pittsburgh Steeler tickets that I put in my Apple Wallet, I cannot do it through the apple wallet. I have to log into the Steeler App which uses Ticketmaster to transfer them. They won't show up when I log into ticketmaster alone, it has to be through the Steeler app. So I am sure in your guys case there was an app that you had used to put them in your wallet in the first place. That is how you will have to transfer them.
Having tried unsuccessfully to transfer a Memphis Grizzlies NBA basketball game ticket from my Apple wallet, I found that the only way to transfer a ticket to someone else is to go through the team app. Tapping the three dot icon at the top right of the ticket screen did not provide a “share” option.
You DO have a "share" option, but it's not written down like the "remove" option, it's the usual "share" icon on Apple. You will find it on the upper right corner, check the images on the latest answer before you. :-)
Thanks- I found that by going back to the Trainline App the etickets were still there and I could share from there. ‘Remove Pass’ option in the wallet may also allow sharing from the app.
pity sharing isn’t possible from the wallet options.
I found a solution that worked for me. I'm in Michigan and Ticketmaster has events at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions but there are concerts, Supercross Motorcycle Events, and other events at this venue.
There's Ticketmaster proper - both web site and an app. I have the app on my iPhone.
There's also a Detroit Lions-specific Account Management tool which appears to be some sort of overlay I'll call it, for lack of better term. I happened upon there being a linkage between them when I was following instructions in the earlier part of this thread.
My friend bought a group of tickets so we could all sit together. I received my 2 tickets via email link. Clicked the link and accepted the tickets while on my computer. I didn't make note if the link took me directly into Ticketmaster or into this overlay thingy I mentioned a minute ago. Tickets showed up, then gave me an option to add them to my Apple Wallet which I promptly did.
I ended up with 3 suite tickets, so I no longer wanted to keep the 2 I already bought but I found a friend who was willing to take them off my hands for a great deal (less than face value) so I wouldn't get stuck with 2 extras that weren't going to be used.
I found this thread and tried to follow instructions but like others, there wasn't a 'transfer' option which I have indeed seen when tapping the 3 dots in the past. It seems there are events where the transfer feature is not available in the Apple Wallet. So here's what I did:
1 - Go to Apple Wallet
2 - Tap the 3 dots in upper right corner of each ticket
3 - Remove from Wallet
4 - Go to Ticketmaster app on my computer (it may also work on your iPhone but it's so much easier to do this on a computer)
5 - Search Ticketmaster for instructions how to accept tickets and see if you can locate an option to accept tickets by either Ticketmaster app, or a related overlay which for me, said Detroit Lions with the team logo on it. NOTE: The Apple App Store does not have a separate app, so I would have never found this option had I not been searching the Ticketmaster site for instructions how to locate tickets after removing them from the Apple Wallet.
6 - If you can find the alternative link which should be something you can locate inside the Ticketmaster site instructions, once you click on that alternative, you may find another browser tab like I did where you can instantly see your tickets. Mine were sitting there, plain as day along with my 3 suite tickets for Ford Field.
The logo on this overlay page was still inside the Ticketmaster app. I only know this because I did not have to log in with a userID and password. The system could tell it was me because of the ticket info in this page.
From this page, execute 7.
7 - Transfer tickets to the email address of your ticket recipient. If they have a Ticketmaster account, use that email address but if not, they'll get an email from you anyway with a link.
8 - Ticket recipient will click the link in the email which will take them to a site where they can accept the tickets. Again, when I received my tickets originally, I can't recall if the site was Ticketmaster proper or this overlay like space that's branded with Detroit Lions logo on the page but it's definitely related to Ticketmaster.
Hope this helps and if does, you might wish to up-vote it so the full instructions can appear for anyone having the same question about how to transfer tickets from the Apple Wallet which originated from Ticketmaster.
when I try to transfer tickets from Apple Wallet I get remove pass when I click on the 3 dots at the top right instead of share
I am having the same issue. Have you been able to figure it out?
I also do not get a share pass option on my Apple wallet tickets. I need to sell them but can’t until I find a way to transfer them.
Hope y’all can help.
Same here. Seems like it’s a problem just recently. There is not a transfer or share button.
I have same issue. “Remove” instead of share? What is solution
